In 2017, the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development, UNWTO highlighted the key role of sustainable tourism for the environment and heritage.

By following UNWTO’s call to be a responsible traveller, you can help achieve these goals, including:

  • Contributing to cultural diversity.
  • Raising consciousness of the value of heritage.
  • Raising funds for the preservation of heritage and the future of the planet.
